I know but Garry's Mod can be only purchased in steam, downloading Garry's Mod just won't work.

HL2 is also for sale and it is the legit HL2, if I download HL2 in Bittorrent, some may not work and some can work, they are all not the legit one.
And yeah, Garry's mod 9 needed Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and Counter-Strike Source.
